Red Cross closes shelter at Calvary Christian

The Red Cross Shelter at Calvary Christian School closed Thursday evening, as the remaining evacuees from Hurricane Gustav returned to their homes.
The shelter was set up by the West Central Georgia chapter of the Red Cross and held 319 people at the peak of its operation.
The chapter remains on standby, awaiting the course and impact of Hanna and Ike.
